This 39 year old patient presented to Dr. Williams' office following the exchange of smaller implants to larger ones. Unfortunately, because of her thin, lean frame, her right breast fold was not strong enough to hold up the weight of a heavy implant and the implant fell through the fold. This resulted in a significant asymmetry. Dr. Williams replaced the larger silicone implants, 385cc, for smaller ones, 295cc, and reinforced the breast folds with a strong surgical mesh to add strength to the fold. This resulted in much better position of the implant that is much more supported. Her results are excellent.

This very lean, athletic patient experienced her right implant descend through her breast fold resulting in a dropping of the right implant causing significant asymmetry. (Her nipple asymmetry was there before surgery.) This can happen with thin patients who have large implants, as the fold is not anatomically strong enough to support the weight of a heavy implant. Dr. Williams replaced her implants with smaller ones and reinforced the breast fold(s) with a surgical mesh. The mesh adds additional strength to the fold that will help support the implant for years to come. More
