Tummy Tuck with repair of large Diastasis Rectus
Procedure Details
This 38 year-old patient is very athletic and a long distance runner. However, following the birth of her 5 children, the separation of her abdominal muscles (diastasis rectus) resulted in a large, lower tummy bulge. No matter how toned she was, the separation of her muscles allowed her bowels to bulge forward. Following her tummy tuck and repair of her muscle separation, the bulge is gone and her true abdominal tone can now be seen.
