Breast Augmentation/Tuberous Breast - Scottsdale, AZ
This patient presented with a complex breast shape that can be challenging to correct. This is an example of a slightly tuberous breast with minimal breast tissue and nipple asymmetry. A tuberous breast is one the develops with a very narrow base causing the breast tissue to protrude or herniate through the nipple and areola causing the pointy appearance of the nipple. The narrow base has to be expanded during the operation by scoring the tissue from the inside which allows it to spread out over the implant. The patients nipple asymmetry remains the same post-op but the implants are symmetric, which is key in this type of procedure. More
Note the pointy nipple (characteristic of a tuberous breast) before, and its' correction after. More
